Blogs

Blogs are quite a popular public Internet information facility that is available to all who are happy to listen to the views of any body willing to give it. Any individual in the street to any large conglomerate who feels that they wish to put their side of any argument into the public arena.

To make sense a brief explanation of what a blog is and how it came about, would make things much clearer. So in brief, a history of the Internet may be of help. With the start of many things, early bloggers did not have a name for what they were doing. While it took some time for the genre and the name to develop, blogging has been around since the beginning of the Internet.

Dawn of Internet Time: Tim Berners-Lee at CERN begins keeping a list of all new sites as they come online.

June 1993: NCSA’s oldest archived what’s new list of sites. (No longer exists)

June 1993: Netscape begins running it’s what’s New! List of sites. (Now AOL)

Jan 1994: Justin Hall launches Justin’s Home Page, which would become Links from the Underground.

April 1997: Dave Winer launches Scripting News. His company, Userland, will release Frontier, Manila and Radio Userland, all website and blog content software.

Sept 1997 Slashdot launches their news for nerds.

Dec 1997: Jorn Barger coins the term web log.

November 1998: Cameron Barrett publishes the first list of blog sites on Camworld.

Early 1999: Peter Merholz coins the term blog after announcing he was going to pronounce web blogs as “wee-blog”. This was then shortened to blog.

Early 1999: Brigitte Eaton starts the first portal devoted to blogs with about 50 listings.

July 1999: Metafilter’s earliest archives.

July 1999: Pitas launches the first free build your own blog web tool.

August 1999: Pyra releases Blogger that become the most popular web based blogging tool to date, and popularises blogging with many Internet users.

It seems like Blogs are everywhere these days. You can’t seem to surf the Internet without seeing the word Blog somewhere. The intent of this article is to explain the basics what a Blog is and how you can use them to help promote your business and gain valuable information quicker that surfing the Internet.

The word Blog is short for web log. Basically a Blog is just an area set aside you to write articles that can easily be accessed with a special program called a RSS reader. In case you’re wondering RSS stands for real simple syndication.

When you set up a Blog you select a template that will house your information. Once you have the Blog set up you can post whatever information you like. It’s really a fast way to get your articles and information up on the web and the templates look great! You don’t have to mess with all the technical end of getting something up on a web page (HMTL layout, FTP, etc). One thing about Blogs is that you can get the software to read them for free. Also, you can set up an account and create your own Blog for free!

One thing I should note is, you can read Blogs with your standard browser and post comments on the content of the Blog. An optional way to read Blogs is by using a RSS reader program. You simply subscribe to whichever Blogs that you want to and they are available immediately in the reader. Many people like to use a reader because you have all of the Blogs that you are interested in, in one place and you don’t have surf all over the Internet to read them. Here is a Blog reader explained in the form of a youtube made by Google. (Youtube to be explained later)

Video Blog

Some Examples of blogs that are available from News organisation are shown.

You can get your own free Blog quite easily, some are shown below.

www.blogger.com/start

www.expressionengine.com <http://www.expressionengine.com>
www.wordpress.com <http://www.wordpress.com>
www.tumblr.com <http://www.tumblr.com>

They are quite easy to set up and post. There are many advantages that Blogs offer over a web site.

1. You don’t have to mess with an HTML layout. You just post your info and the info looks wonderful because the Blog uses the template that you set up.

2. You can post as often as you like. I wouldn’t send an email to a person every day but with a Blog you can post as much as you like as often as you like.

3. Email spam filters do not block Blogs because they are not an email communication.

4. You can make as many Blogs as you like on any subject.

AFFDCDC09 FdA or FdSc Creative Digital Communication Certificate

INTERACTIVITY CDCInt.E2

Due date 15/12/2009

Background

You will be creating an interface design based on your research undertaken. Looking at some of the ideas presented and discussed in class, you need to now plan for an interface and all the details associated with it.

Brief

Using the case study that you have chosen you will be using the research you collected to design an interface that will satisfy the demands of your target audience.

You must create a:

Case Study – this will require you to research into a particular company and the changes that have happened to its interface. If the changes have been minimal or only incremental, then you should explain why that is and if this is a good course for the company to stay with.

Design Brief & Design Specification

This should include your target audience. You need to define clearly who your client is… who are they and why would they find you’re proposed interface suitable? You need to specify their current technological profile… what systems are they using, how often do they use technology etc.

Interface Design, which should be presented in a format similar to promotion for it, i.e. making screen captures for a poster etc…

You may like to include the interface as it first appears, and then how it will change / react to input/output/other

INTERACTIVITY INTERFACE

Initially I decided that because of the research that is going on around the world that an interactive interfaces that uses the iris from the human eye or brain activity alone would be an interesting option. The idea would be to use this technology for controlling and operating computer interfaces. After quite a lot of research into the work been done by well established company’s who are world recognized for there forward looking research ethos, including such company’s as the Honda Research Institute in Japan along with its collaborators; Advanced Telecommunications Research Institute International (ATR) and Shimadzu Corporation who claimed to have developed the world’s first ‘Brain Machine Interface’ (BMI) technology that uses electroencephalography (EEG) and near-infrared spectroscopy (NIRS) technology along with newly developed information extraction technology to enable control of a robot by human thought alone. They hoped that the technology could one day be applied to car functions, allowing for the operation of the car boot or turning on the heating etc.

Unfortunately the this technology requires that there is absolutely no other physical movement. During the human thought process, slight electrical current and blood flow change occur in the brain. The most important factor in the development of the BMI technology is the accuracy of measuring and analyzing these changes. The BMI technology uses EEG, which measures changes in electrical potential difference (volts) on the scalp, and NIRS, which measures changes in cerebral blood flow, with a newly developed information extraction technology which enables statistical processing of the complex information from these two types of sensors. As a result, it became possible to distinguish brain activities with high precision as long as there is not any physical motion, but just human thought alone. The tests of the technology also required a user to where a helmet, for obvious reasons the brain controller alone I decided was a no, no?

It was at this stage I decided a more easily assessable and more feasible alternative would be to switch to the: -

An ATM (Automated Teller Machine) that incorporates an eye (retina) recognition Interface.

There are many different ways to make using an ATM machine for small or wheel chair bound people hard and very few that make it easier. Even the angle of the screen can be a perfect reflector for the sun so making it impossible to see the screen making it even more difficult for people of a lower stature to use. Some ideas would be to make the screen and entry buttons face straight out or face down or even fit the interface lower. Then there would only be a problem for the average sized or taller people. One option would be to cut off their legs to make everybody equal, but working on the fact that this would be impractical, expensive and would cause some objections in certain groups in society would make this not be a viable option.

There are several other dubious and inventive ways to get around this problem, one example of the inventiveness of people in getting around the problem is the use of mans and woman’s best friend, the dog!

They might not be able to help if you forget your Pin, but these dogs can get your money out without paws-ing for thought.

The dogs are among an army of ‘assistance dogs’ who have been trained to withdraw money from cash machines for their disabled owners.

They are adept at inserting and withdrawing cards at ATMs to help owners in wheelchairs who are often not able to stretch far enough to do it themselves.

A spokesman for charity Canine Partners of the US, which trains the dogs, said: ‘they put in the card and take it out and take out the money and give it to the person in the wheelchair. They can’t put in the Pin but a person in a wheelchair can go sideways on and do that. Up to 30 dogs are trained each year and the charity is hoping to double that figure next year. It takes two years to train them. One of the graduates of the scheme is ten-year-old Labrador dog, who helped start the ATM service by chance. The Labrador’s owner is Allen Parton, a Gulf War veteran who lost the feeling down his right side after an accident in 1991 while serving as an officer in the Royal Navy. Now in a wheelchair, he said that one-day he was struggling to retrieve his cash from an ATM when the dog jumped up to reach for the card, money and receipt with his mouth.

Another option that would be more assessable to all would be an ATM specifically designed for small and people in wheel chairs using the eye retina to identify the user and give yes/no options.

The secret code you use to get money from an ATM system would be difficult to forget. Some major banks have introduced pin less ATM’s. ATM security that let’s you get your cash with the blink of your eye. Americans made 11 billion ATM transactions last year. And ATM fraud is on the rise. A new technology called Iris Recognition records your eye for identification.

An iris pattern is highly distinctive and ten times more unique than a fingerprint and has considerably more variants then a four digit pin number which in turn would make it more secure. With PIN numbers we now use can still allow thieves to steal your number. A baddy with a high-powered video camera, hidden from view, can record you putting the number in, unless you use your hand to cover your action. With iris recognition, a video camera safely records an image of your iris. That’s the colour part of your eye. A computer uses a complex formula to turn light and dark flecks of the iris into digital code.

A human bar code is created and that human bar code becomes your identity inside the bar. In seconds your iris code is compared with the bank’s copy.

As you look at the yellow light, it’s taking a picture. It’s processed and the screen recognizes the account holder. Scientists who developed iris recognition say it’s not only fraud proof; it’s foolproof because you can’t forget it like a PIN number.

Citibank plans to test Iris ID ATM’s this next summer but the layout is still for average and normal sized people with the emphasis still on the subject looking down on the terminal.

Whether it’s iris scanning, fingerprints, voiceprints, hand geometry, face geometry or signature authentication, biometrics are rapidly becoming a cheaper, easier and more secure way to conduct business. What consumers think about it is not yet clear. A customer poll by Nationwide Building Society, said that British savings and loan that began using iris scanning last year, found that 94 percent of customers were comfortable with the system and that 91 percent preferred it to PINs or signatures. But efforts in 1997 to put a biometric on US, Alabama driver’s licenses had to be abandoned when outraged motorists refused to surrender their fingerprints. And while young techno-zealots like Pearce are easy sells on iris scanning, older customers tend to hang back: An uneasiness toward yielding information about one’s body has prompted outright rejection of biometrics among some, but libertarians of all ideological stripes have questioned biometrics potential danger to citizens right to privacy. The paramount problem is that the technology has been developing at lightning speed while the law has not developed at all. The biometrics industry is concerned enough about what it calls by some as the Big Brother Factor to have put together a set of principles for companies to follow to avoid the misuse of biometric information, although it has to be repeated that it’s only a set of principle that would be self governing and we all know that all businesses are only in business for the public good and not in business for there own profit? Their association has also urged adoption of legal standards to restrict public institutions use of the data. Electronic devices like ATM machines that have made our lives easier are likely to become more accessible to disabled people. Aiming at creating equal opportunities in the electronic age, the plan has been chalked out to make simple things like withdrawing money from an ATM machine or watching the TV by a blind person or accessing a kiosk at the railway station by the physically handicapped possible.

In India it is estimated that 50-75 million home have disabled people living at home. India has set three important policies for disabled people, one of the of the policy is that the hardware of all electronic products should be designed, developed and maintained in such a way that all, including disabled people, can use them.

The two machines shown are what’s considered to be top of the range ATM’s after trawling through a massive range of manufactures looking for an ATM that has iris recognition I found that they are not made as standard by any of the manufactures. They are only made to order. I contacted two manufactures and asked why they don’t incorporate the technology plus the facility to rotate the eye scanner, so making it assessable for users of different sizes? There reply was the Banks refuse to spend the extra cost even though the estimated cost would be paid for within four weeks with reduced fraudulent withdrawals of cash?

Digital Photography
As the first part of this project you should plan out your ideas, search out the locations from
which you wish to construct your narrative sequence and take preliminary photographs, from
this rough storyboards should follow, prior to the taking of the final images.
Task Two
Computer Workshop
Using Photoshop for any Image processing and iMovie for the sequencing and adding of
soundtrack material, construct your narrative sequence, which must be of at least two minutes
duration.
It will be necessary to keep a Technical Notebook on how you approached the project.
This notebook should take the form of a Blog. This should contain any information on
techniques and processes which you have utilized in completing the project, plus
research, idea development work and a 500 word Design Report. Be sure to post your
Blog entries to the Category: Electronic Image Making.
I Submission Deadline 8th Dec 2009
Learning Strategies
Tutor Demonstrations
Tutor Presentations
Practical workshops
Self Directed Learning
Resources
Apple Mac computers, Photoshop software, iMovie software, Photographic studio and
lighting, digital cameras
Assessment Requirements
The final completed sequence should be burned onto CD, titled and presented in a Jewel CD
case. The technical notebook (blog) should be completed for the same deadline.

The idea is to do two of the seven deadly sins, lust and jealousy in the form of the Argentinean Tango. The dance with one, two or three men and one woman can be quite an erotic dance with it history based in Argentina, Buenos Aires and tango are synonymous terms, and tango is an integral part of the large city. You can find the tango all over Buenos Aires: in it’s mythical cafes, at the milongas, and by walking around the city’s authentic neighbourhoods.
The history of the Argentine Tango, from tango’s humble beginnings to its latest developments, is part of the grand history of Buenos Aires.

The Passion of the Underworld
Although it has come to epitomize the glamour and elegance of high society, with women in sleek glittering evening gowns and men in tuxedos, the Argentine Tango originated in society’s underbelly, the brothels. As immigrants from Europe, Africa, and ports unknown streamed into the outskirts of Buenos Aires during the 1880′s, many came toward the houses of ill repute. The tango dance originated as an “acting out” of the relationship between the prostitute and her pimp. In fact, the titles of the first tangos referred to characters in the world of prostitution and were considered very obscene by society.

This form of the tango spread throughout the underworld for a number of years. During that time the Bandon eon, an accordion-like instrument, was introduced into the music. The Bandon eon came from Germany where it was used to play religious music in churches that couldn’t afford an organ. In Argentina, Eduardo Arolas is credited as being the main early pioneer of the instrument and having forever intertwined the fates of the bandoneon and the tango art form. Eduardo said that the bandoneon was made to play the tango, with its deep melancholy feeling that the immigrants enjoyed as a sentimental tingle in their hard working lives.

In Paris.
The Argentine Tango was “written” by Ricardo Guiraldes. Ricardo was a well-to-do poet and writer and an upper-class playboy in Argentina. He enjoyed emulating the social lives of his more bohemian friends, including going to see tango performances. In 1910, Ricardo went on a tour of Europe. He wrote a poem called “Tango” to honour the dance, and gave a tango performance at a fashionable Parisian salon. The crowd was deeply attracted to the dance and Tango was the first of the many Latin dance crazes that were to sweep Europe. With the popularity of the Argentine Tango in Europe, Argentine high society took a new look at the dance and welcomed it into their own lives.

The Tango Now
After the long stretch of the decadence of tango in the 60′s and 70′s, young people have started to accept the tango around them as being part of there lives. The youth realize the tango in their own ways, with their own unique character, mixing Piazzolla with the primitive bands and with flute and guitar, deconstructing and restructuring it. Maybe that is why the tango is now again a phenomenon; the resurrection of tango may make the art form more powerful than ever. The city of Buenos Aires remains the world centre of the movement.
THE DANCE

Part of my inspiration for the idea of a dance came from a similar dance as shown on You Tube, (shown below) My dance was going to be of the similar ilk but would use two girls and four boys vying for the attention of each other in all the mayhem and supposed confusion of the dance.

I did a screen test of some of the students as now shown:-

Unfortunately the best laid plans can go astray in my case my dancers decided not to turn up at the arranged times due to there personal commitment to there own theatre work, they all turned up at a time that suited them but forgot to tell any body outside there own circle.

So as a very late attempt to do something else the day before submission I assembled some Lego characters, and characterising the seven deadly sins with Lego characters, covering: -

Pride is excessive belief in one’s own abilities, which interferes with the individual’s recognition of the grace of God. It has been called the sin from which all others arise. Pride is also known as Vanity.
Envy is the desire for others’ traits, status, abilities, or situation.
Gluttony is an inordinate desire to consume more than that which one requires.
Lust is an inordinate craving for the pleasures of the body.
Anger is manifested in the individual who spurns love and opts instead for fury. It is also known as Wrath.
Greed is the desire for material wealth or gain, ignoring the realm of the spiritual. It is also called Avarice or Covetousness.
Sloth is the avoidance of physical or spiritual work.

In the sequences that is shown on the DVD shows a very simple turn of events that unfold before you, It can be seen that the very smart young man in the uniform has an over whelming Lust from the very good-looking girl he is standing along side off. There is Anger from the pirate who shoots the girls suitor because of the Envy of the soldier who is desired by the girl. Greed as a man crossing in the background moves from left to right with a wheelbarrow full of goodies. Sloth and Gluttony from the bystander on the right drinking from a large beer bug watching all that unfolds before him. Finally Pride in the Motor cyclist policeman who finally ending up with the lady with his big shiny bike.

A graphic explanation on the conceptual thinking of the final DVD is achieved by the basic concept that is built on the basis of content and not on the technical nitty gritty of the application of the exercise. Given more time all techy errors and inconsistencies would and could be smoothed out. On guidance I considered it to be of minimum importance compared to the conceptual application. The thought behind the project was how to achieve the desired requirements needed with a minimum of tools available. Having several Lego models available made the subject construction a relatively simple mater to choose. To make the idea work could be a problem in that Lego are not the most pliable of models to work with. The first half was quite simple, all the characters fully built and then photographed then a single item was removed photographed then another piece removed then so on until they had all gone. Neither all the photos were put together in sequence on a one second freeze with half a second soft mix between each picture giving a total show of slightly less then a two second each. The pictures were edited to show in reverse order. Unfortunately there was no tripod available so all the camera shots were hand held so showing a slight movement between each shot. The models were reset then the same pose was repeated.

LO1 Design interface mechanisms to create interactive communication models
LO2 Produce an on screen digital interactive product/interface
LO3 Record their progress using a user based design solution incorporating user feedback
Background
You are in a lucky position with your consulting job. A client has £1 Million available to spend on technology and would like you to select what products / services / systems. They would benefit most from. Additionally they would like you to propose a business idea.
Brief You have a choice from three clients.
Woman, 22
Woman, 68
Man, 44
One of these people is your client, you mush choose which. In order to be successful
With your task you will need to think about their lifetime and what products will have
Affected them. From the information you research you will have to decide what products / services / systems will benefit them the most. You will need to write a client
Specification in order to be best informed.
This will then make up a final presentation of the technologies, as well as your
Proposed business idea.

After some serious consideration and the fact that the future in the many parts of the UK will be deprived of power, due to the lack of successive governments, willing to bite the bullet and invest in Britain’s future electric national grid infrastructure? So we could find our selves in the dark with no electricity in the future. One old dependable and way around would be candles to light our homes. If that becomes to position then why not make the most of it with battery powered remote control candles that add a little romance to the enforced darkness.
Remote Control Candles how cool is that? It sounds daft, but it’s true. No hunting for matches, no wax over the furniture, and of course, no getting up from your chair? Just click the remote control and voila, your artfully positioned candles magically spring to life. They look just like the real thing; they can either glow constantly, at a choice of two brightness levels, or flicker just like the real thing. You can also set them to four or eight hours of light time, so you don’t even have to remember to turn them off? And you can do it all from the comfort of your armchair. With the remote you can adjust the Brightness, on/off, candle groups of colour groups and the volume

If realism isn’t quite so important to you, you can opt for the multicoloured versions and gently light your room with myriad shades of blue, red, pink, purple and more – all with flickering or constant lights. Phase through the colours or stick with just the one, you can still appear to be able to manipulate the elements at will with the remote, but now your optical options are even wider. And they’ve got that same timer function too, so you can have them turn themselves off after four or eight hours. No mess, no fire hazard, just effortless cool. Brilliant.
Features
Ivory-coloured, battery-powered wax candles with LED bulbs and remote control (20 ft range). Standard pack contains 3 candles, Multi-colour pack contains 2. Completely flameless and safe.
Adjust brightness and use timer function with remote control.
Flickering and constant light modes.
Multicoloured version has 12 different colours; all can be controlled via remote.
Timer function can be set for 4 or 8 hours.
Standard version requires 2 x AAA batteries per candle, Multicoloured version require 3 x AAA batteries per candle.
Suitable for ages 5 years +.
Size: -
13 x 7.5 x 7.5cm, 15.5 x 7.5 x 7.5cm and 10.5 x 7.5 x 7.5cm (standard).
12.5 x 8.5 x 8.5cm (multicolour).
The unit price would be in the rang of multi colour box set would be in £29.99.

Module Code: CDCVAL

Module title: Visual / Auditory Literacy

Programme Code: AFFDCDC07

Programme Title: Creative Digital Communication.

Level: Certificate

Tutor Ed Poxon

On successful completion of this module students will be able to:

LO1 Research and analyze examples of digital culture

LO2 Demonstrate the appropriate use of technology for research

LO3 Communicate, in written form, an analysis of an example of digital culture

Background

Using the skills you have developed in the workshop sessions contribute to at least six.

Forums related to the software you have been learning. (This can include Blackboard).

Record and track the responses to your posts.

Most of this paper concentrates on, and is related to, the 3D approach to the new technology that now exists. I’ve started at the beginning with the basic approach of obtaining material from an actuality source such as photographic material to moving on to workshop created animations. What would appear to be the simplest and easiest way to research and analyze examples of the digital culture would be to use the Internet? The fundamental problem with this is the examples found on the Internet would almost certainly have come from the software writers and manufactures. Their dilemma is to show their stuff off without giving it away for free and for obvious reasons they would tend to feature the plus features and neglect the negatives. One new piece of new software to have recently appeared is the: -

Adobe Lightroom 2

The Lightroom 2 is believe it or not an upgrade from the almost unheard of Lightroom 1, some features are: -

The streaming use of Smart Objects, panorama stitching, high dynamic range functionality, multiple layer workflow, and see your edits automatically as they are updated.

I Ipersonally find it a very useful tool for equalising multi photo shoots. When a shoot has to be done in a non-controllable environment, for example outside in variable sunlight and colour temperature, this tool can adjust on mass basic Photoshop type changes.

Pro X 2, from Snapz

Snapz Pro X 2 Makes it relatively easy to take a snap shot of anything on your computer including static and none static shots.

Snapz Pro X 2 is an improvement on the standard Mac OS X. static screen capture that comes with the Mac OS. The Pro X allows you to save images on your screen in a wide variety of file formats. Snapz Pro X offers border options, with automatic thumbnail generation, and a live preview to help make each screenshot is right. The only down side is the extra information one has to memorise to be able to use it due to there been no on screen help.

FourEyes3D from B-L-A-C-K-O-P

FourEyes3D camera support is an application for two-camera use. It’s designed for showing live 3D videos or taking still pictures! Stickam, ustream, youtube are all some of the applications that it may be used with! Stream in 3D is at the moment quite new but in the not to distant future it will be all the rage. Although having to ware a pear of the red/cyan anaglyph glasses are a bit of a pain? To get the system working all that is needed is a pair of cheap USB webcams. Combine them with FourEyes3D camera driver into a live 3D stereo “virtual camera” that can be used in most QuickTime-compatible camera applications. Other applications that works with FourEyes3D include QuickTime Pro, Flash browser video and cam applications. The technology that was perfected in the 1950’s by Polaroid was created and called stereoscopic imaging, it allows you to capture and broadcast live to the Internet in 3D. While Polaroid preferred the polarized glasses now employed in Disney 3D called “RealD” many others prefer to ware the retro 3D red/cyan glasses because of the simplicity and the cheapness of the glasses. As can be seen from the screen grab obtained using the previous piece of software featured, the two cameras are taking two shots of the same scene with the cameras sat about a half meter apart, combined by Four Eyes and show the combined 3D shot as the third scene in 3D.

Cheetah 3D

Cheetah3d is computer graphics program for 3D modelling, animation and rendering. It is written in Cocoa which is a specific graphics language specifically designed for Mac OS X. The program is aimed at beginning and amateur 3D artists. It offers a number of medium and high-end features in conjunction with a relatively simple user interface. Its simplicity is what makes it stand apart from other programs. It was initially released in 2003 and is available as a Universal binary for Mac OS X. A free demo version is available, without the ability to save or send to other programs.

A simple oilcan that can be fully rotated making it a good demo.

Two animated 3D figures with the control lines still in view, makes this an easy controllable animator.

CINEMA 4D with MoGraph by Maxton

A new piece of 3d software released in November 2009 is the Cinema 4D 11.5, with MoGraph by Maxon is primary aimed at the broadcast motion graphic professionals. The software is based on version 2 of its MoGraph plug-in module and comes packaged with a library of supporting setups and ready-to-use elements.

The key to MoGraph, and so to the Broadcast Edition, is the concept of the clone or instant coping. Copies are automatically generated of 3D objects that can be arranged in linear, radial, grid and nested arrays, either in space, along splines or on the surfaces of other objects. Once generated, these clones or copies can be animated, coloured and disrupted via many effectors available, allowing the fast creation of high-impact motion graphics that look as if they took many hours to set up.

MoGraph 2 has several new features including the ability to use rail splines to define clone orientation, scale and quantity spread. For example, to create the effect of flowing blood cells within a vein. You can also now loop or fix cloned animations, while the core Random and Spline effectors offer additional modes.

It also extends cloning into entirely new areas. The Camera Shadier lets you project any camera view onto an object’s surface.

MoGraph 2 is its dynamics system and is based on the Bullet physics library and lets you quickly add a whole package of realistic gravity-based effects to your clones, complete with automatic collision control. Trying to create similar effects, say of a tumbling stack of boxes, would be almost impossible via key framing. To be able to just add two tags and set various properties such as bounce and friction and before you know it you’ve brought your clones to life.

It seems that this is a major upgrade, but the advances that make it a breakthrough release come from the Cinema 4D 11.5′s RAM playback of animations, the tighter integration with AfterEffects and, above all, render instancing, which cuts memory requirements and boosts rendering speed.

This tight integration between MoGraph 2 and the Cinema 4D 11.5 makes the Broadcast Edition the natural choice for broadcast professionals looking to quickly and easily add 3D impact and creativity to their work. All the reviews I’ve seen all show this 3d graphics package as highly recommended.
